Monte Santoccio Amarone 2018 is a full-bodied appassimento-style wine produced in the Amarone della Valpolicella appellation of Veneto, northern Italy. 2018 is a superb vintage for Monte Santoccio Amarone. Warm, gorgeous, with fine bitter sweet aromatics that define Monte Santoccio and Quintarelli. Chocolate dipped cherries, pot pourri, kirsch and sweet balsamic herbs, soft leather, cherry blossom and Christmas spice. Long and lush, with sweet scents of tobacco. Three months drying of grapes, 30 months in tonneaux.
