Gerardo Cesari is a well-established wine producer based in the Veneto region of Italy. Founded in 1936, the estate covers approximately 100 hectares spread across Valpolicella and Lugana. This Amarone della Valpolicella comes from Il Bosco, a 5-hectare single vineyard, where the vines are 20 years old on average. Aged in a combination of French and Slavonian oak barrels for a minimum of 2 years then bottle for an additional year, the resulting wine is beautifully layered, with hints of cherries, baking spices, toasted nuts and cacao powder.
