Established by Frank and Karen Altamura in 1985, the Altamura Vineyards & Winery is known for producing high-quality, limited-production wines, especially from Cabernet Sauvignon. This release from the 2003 vintage is characterized by its deep, dark colour and intense, concentrated flavours. It evokes rich aromas of black fruits, such as blackberries and black cherries, along with notes of chocolate, cedar and tobacco. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and velvety, with well-integrated tannins and a long, persistent finish. This wine has the structure and depth to age gracefully for many years, and it would pair well with red meats, game or aged cheeses.
