Alban Vineyards is celebrated for its robust wines influenced by the Rhône region, both blends and single-varietal offerings. Situated in the Edna Valley, which resides in the southern reaches of San Luis Obispo County, the estate manages a total of 27 hectares of vineyards, primarily clustered around the winery. Seymour’s, one of their flagship cuvées, undergoes open-top fermentation using native yeasts and is subsequently aged for 3.5 years in a combination of new and used French oak barrels. The wine is then bottled without any fining or filtration. Alban Vineyards wines are normally only available through an exclusive allocation.
