Satrapezo Mtsvane 2019 is an amber wine produced from Mtsvane grapes in the Kakheti region of Georgia. This skin-macerated style of white wine was produced using a combination of traditional Georgian and European winemaking techniques. Grapes were hand-harvested, meticulously sorted and fermented with the skins in subterranean clay pots, called ‘kvevri’. Following five months` maceration in the same vessels, the wine was transferred to oak barriques for further maturation. Deep gold in colour, it offers up delicious scents of citrus, quince, apple, wild herbs and spices. On the palate it is textural yet refined, with zesty acidity and cool minerality throughout.
