One of the warmest areas in Sonoma County, Knights Valley AVA is sheltered by hills, leading to warm temperatures, which together with warm, free-draining, volcanic soils make for gloriously ripe examples of Cabernet Sauvignon driven reds. Planting at altitude meanwhile allows for cooler sites. Key varietals for white wines include Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
