Distilled at Nikka`s Yoichi distillery in 1990, this Japanese single malt was bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) in 2002, boasting a robust 60.6% ABV. Nikka, established in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, a former Suntory employee and University of Glasgow alumnus, gained blending expertise at the now-defunct Hazelburn distillery in Campbeltown.
