The Small Batch Bottled in Bond Bourbon shares the same mash bill as the Single Barrel release, composed of 64% corn, 24% wheat, and 12% malted barley. This wheated bourbon mash bill lends a softer flavour profile to the whiskey, with the wheat imparting a gentle sweetness and creamy mouthfeel. The whiskey exhibits rich and complex notes of caramel, vanilla and toasted oak from the barrel aging process. The wheat`s influence can be found in the subtle sweetness and smoothness of the bourbon, while additional notes of baking spices, dark fruit and a hint of tobacco can also be detected.
