The Samurai Scientist is is the first American Whiskey finished using Japanese Umeshu barrels, the result of a collaboration between WhistlePig and Kitaya brewery on Japan’s Kyushu island. A big whiskey with intense notes of apple, maple, toasted marshmallow and cinnamon on the nose. The rich, mouth-coating palate offers tobacco, ginger before a long finish with a note of smoke and oak char.
