Waterford Ballybannon 1.1

HED46532 70cl 50%
Waterford Distillery was founded back in 2015 by Mark Reynier, formerly the co-owner of Bruichladdich. Mark and his team designed a state-of-the-art facility that enables his distillers to work with single-farm barley crops and produce ‘terroir-driven’ whiskies. This release is a peated single malt made with barley grown at Ballybannon farm, County Carlow. On the nose, aromas of salty sea spray and a smouldering campfire are tempered by cookie butter and lemon curd. The palate hits with an oily, peaty punch followed by sweet, buttery notes of apple pie and almond tart.
