Domaine du Gringet, established by Dominique Belluard, focused on reviving indigenous grape varieties and promoting sustainable viticulture, specifically Gringet a rare Alpine grape variety previously used for “generic” sparkling wines. This wine showcases the distinct expression of the terroir, with herbal and mineral notes typical of the region’s profile. Belluard sadly passed away in 2021, but his legacy continues with the estate now being run by Raphaël Bennour and Miguel Sarzier who had worked with Belluard for decades, distributing his wines.
