First created in 1972 to commemorate the bicentennial anniversary of the House, `La Grande Dame` pays homage to Madame Clicquot, recognized as ‘La Grande Dame de la Champagne’. Serving as Veuve Clicquot`s prestige cuvée, it is sourced from eight of their historical Grand Crus. The 1996 vintage presents itself with a distinct yellow-gold hue accompanied by a sparse yet ultra-fine bead. Expect hints of ginger, apple, grapefruit, limestone, butterscotch, mushrooms, and chamomile.
