Infrequent Flyers Tomintoul 9 Year Old is a limited-edition, age-statement Speyside single malt whisky produced at the Tomintoul Distillery in Kirkmichael, Scotland. Distilled in 2014, this spicy Speysider was matured for nine years in a single rye whiskey barrel before being bottled in 2024 by Alistair Walker for its Infrequent Flyer collection. Just 250 bottles were filled at a natural cask strength of 58.8%. Expect a spicy, citrusy dram with notes of lemon, almond, raisin and nougat.

Tomintoul

Built in the mid-1960s, Tomintoul is a relative newcomer to the world of Scotch whisky production and is located in the picturesque countryside of Speyside. Master distiller Robert Fleming comes from a long line of Highland whisky-makers and is responsible for maintaining the smooth, delicate style of single malt for which Tomintoul has become famous.

The distillery was previously part of the Whyte and Mackay group, but was purchased by Angus Dundee Distillers in the year 2000. The distillery has a high output, with capacity at over three million litres per annum, and also an impressive library of aged stock - some 120,000 casks with some over 40 years of age. The core range includes a selection of non-age-statement releases along with 10, 12, 14 and 18 year old editions. Single vintages bottlings and limited edition single cask releases have enjoyed good reviews and praise from drinkers alike.
