Established in 1985, Thienot is a boutique, family-owned champagne house based in Reims. La Vigne aux Gamins is forms part of their Special Release collection and is made from a single parcel in the village of Avize, where the vines are over 60 years old. A 100% Chardonnay, aged for 11 years in their cellars at Rue des Moissons in Reims. Plenty of chalk dominates the cuvée, with lovely buttery notes, very ripe and sweet lemons, white flowers, beeswax, vanilla, whipped cream and some roasted nuts.
