St Joseph Blanc Lieu Dit Cuilleron 2022 is a 100% Roussanne white wine from the northern Rhône Valley`s St-Joseph appellation. Crafted by Yves Cuilleron, a prominent figure in Rhône viticulture known for his commitment to organic farming, this wine hails from the steep, sunlit slopes of the Digue vineyard. The wine undergoes nine months of ageing on lees in a mix of 30hl oak casks and Burgundy barrels, a method that contributes to its complexity while retaining varietal character.
There’s so much to love about the 2022 Saint-Joseph Blanc Lieu-Dit Digue, a varietal Roussanne with a deep straw color. Herbal tea, ripe pear, honeysuckle and yellow apple are front and center. Concentrated and round, the medium-bodied 2022 is a wonderful expression of the variety, showing fine persistence on the fragrant finale.
