Founded in 2019 in the quaint West Coast town of Vredendal, Sakkie Mouton Family Wines is a small, independent winery. They employ minimal intervention winemaking to authentically showcase each vineyard. This Syrah-based wine is sourced from vines planted in arid, saline, sandstone soils in 1999. After fermentation, it aged for approximately nine months in one 500-liter and one 300-liter barrel. The wine was bottled without filtration or fining, with a minimal addition of sulphur.
