Rhys Horseshoe Vineyard Pinot Noir Magnum 2014

Founded in 2004, Rhys Vineyards has, in a remarkably short space of time, become a benchmark producer of compelling terroir driven Pinot Noir from sustainably farmed vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Though only ½ mile from the Alpine Vineyard, Horseshoe is more sheltered and produces a more mineral, focused and tensile style of wine. The 2014 Pinot Noir is a spectacular release of incredible complexity and finesse. It is beautifully layered with rich notes of black cherry, red summer fruits, wild herbs, Asian spices and crushed rocks. Full-bodied, yet silky and smooth, this would be a brilliant pairing with roast duck.
