Château Rauzan-Gassies is a Second Growth estate situated in the Margaux appellation. The estate was purchased by the Quié family in 1946 and is managed today by grand-children Anne-Françoise and Jean-Philippe Quié, both fully qualified winemakers. The 1985 is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Expect earthy notes of mushroom, ripe black fruits, toasted oak and spices.
