56% Chardonnay and 44% Pinot Noir and left on the lees for eight years. Despite the difficult conditions presented by the 2007 vintage, with inconsistent flowering and a cold August, cellar master Régis Camus has produced a bold and red fruited release with elegant minerality, merging into notes of spices, pomegranate, vanilla and passion fruit with a dash of paprika. Long and persistent with the vibrant finish, peppered with accents of gingerbread, mocha and liquorice, followed by Persian scents of sandalwood and rosewood. A generous, full-bodied wine.
