Plantation Venezuela 2010 is a vintage-dated Venezuelan rum aged for 12 years in a combination of ex-Bourbon casks and French oak barrels before bottling. This rum spent eight years maturing in ex-Bourbon casks in the cellars of Destiloeria Sofa in Venezuela before being shipped to Javrezac, in the Charente region of France, where it spent a further four years in Ferrand French oak casks. Aromas of honey, vanilla, orange peel, coconut and tropical fruits combine with flavours of caramel, pineapple, banana and oak spice.
