The wine is only the second vintage of Piper-Heidsieck’s prestige cuvée, 1976 being the very first one. An unusual vintage as harvest didn’t take place until early October. The nose has aromas of dried fruits and hints of lanolin. The palate is broad, with some sweet mature notes but still showing some tension. Ready to be enjoyed now.
