Pikesville Rye 6 Year Old is a straight rye whiskey produced by the Heaven Hill Distillery in Pikesville, Kentucky. A former winner of the World`s Best Rye Whiskey award at the World Whiskies Awards and Double Gold-winner at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, this six-year-old rye is dry and spicy, with honeyed rye and clove notes. Pikesville Rye was first produced in Maryland in the 1890s. The brand reemerged after Prohibition and became the last-standing Maryland Rye, as the rest of the industry`s production ceased. It is now produced in Kentucky from extra-aged barrels stored in prime warehouse locations.
