Pewsey Vale The Contours Riesling 2016 is a mature single-vineyard Riesling from old vines in the Eden Valley of South Australia. Pewsey Vale was the first Australian winery to take a `single-variety, single-site` approach to Riesling and this Eden Valley estate remains a benchmark producer for Riesling in this style. The Contours is the pinnacle of the estate`s range and is produced from older vines on the coolest slopes of the estate vineyard. It is matured for a minimum of five years in bottle before release. "Ripe aroma, warm yellow fruits, lemon freshness. Richness and depth, a mineral backbone, toast and burnt-lime characters. A trace of sweetness but then a firm crisp, finish with a twist of phenolics." Decanter
