Petrus 1989

75 cl
£4,620.00
Petrus is undoubtedly one of the most revered wines in the world and is often considered the pinnacle of the Pomerol appellation. Almost always made from 100% Merlot, the style of Petrus is unique and in the best vintages often achieves levels of aromatic complexity, richness and silky texture that others simply cannot. It is an exceptionally long-lived wine and can often require significant cellaring before reaching maturity and expressing its true essence. The 1989 vintage is widely regarded as one of the most spectacular releases of Petrus and, though nearing its zenith, it should have plenty left in the tank.
