From Penedès based winery, Parés Baltà, Electio is a barrel-fermented white wine made from 100% Xarel-lo. Fruit is sourced from a single plot that sits at 325m elevation and has vines that are 74 years old. The grapes are given 4 hours skin contact prior to fermentation in new French and Hungarian oak barrels and then aged on lees for 4 months with periodic bâtonnage. It is intense and aromatic, with creamy notes of ripe citrus fruits, white flowers, crushed minerals and subtly toasty oak.
