For many years, Joel Peterson was the winemaker at Ravenswood and this is a new project of his devoted to micro-cuvées of red wines from remarkably old vineyards. Located in Carneros, the Sangiacomo Vineyard is slightly cooler and produces varietally true Merlot with beautiful natural richness but sensational innate freshness. The 2016 is a superb release of which there were only 280 cases produced.
