Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Henri Gouge is a family-owned domaine established in the 1920s. Henri Gouges [1889-1967] was something of a pioneer, the first Burgundian to bottle his own wine to guarantee provenance and quality. This release is the ‘Hommage’ cuvée from the 2019 vintage, a standout year for Burgundy. Expect a fleshy texture, revealing notes of cedar, cherries and liquorice.
