Moone-Tsai Napa Valley Chardonnay 2019 is a full-bodied single-vineyard Chardonnay from the Napa Valley of California. Having been founded in 2003, Moone-Tsai is a relative newcomer to Napa but has, in a short space of time, made waves with its exceptional quality wines. Moone Tsai`s south-facing Chardonnay vineyard is located at an elevation of 490m on Bald Mountain in the Mayacamas Mountains of the Napa Valley. This elevated site promotes excellent phenolic development and acid retention, thus producing complex and long-lived wines. The 2019 was wholecluster-pressed and fermented on lees in French oak barrels, then aged in 45% new French oak for 16 months. The wine is richly expressive with notes of ripe golden delicious apple, pear and lemon rind. It has impressive volume on the palate with further suggestions of ripe pear along with grapefruit zest, minerals and a hint of fresh ginger.
