Miles Mossop Max 2016 is a full-bodied, Bordeaux-style blended red wine from the Stellenbosch region of South Africa. Former Tokara winemaker Miles Mossop has been producing his exceptional `Max` Bordeaux blend for more than 13 vintages and the wine continues to go from strength to strength. Always Cabernet-led with smaller proportions of sweet-fruited Merlot and peppery Petit Verdot, the wine is matured in 30% new French barriques for 22 months before bottling. Producer note. "The nose is a mélange of red and black briary fruit intertwined with hints of tobacco leaf and cedar wood. The wine enters the palate with juicy red and blackcurrant flavours with a clean textured mid-palate and a hint of savoury notes. The finish is long, dry and textured with just a touch of vanilla and toast."
