Originally established in 1869, Domaine des Comtes Lafon is one of the most famous names in Meursault, currently led by fourth generation family member Dominique Lafon. The estate boasts well over 3 hectares of Premier Cru vineyards, including a parcel in ‘Les Gouttes d`Or’, where this cuvée comes from. The 1995 vintage in Burgundy proved to be highly favourable despite challenging weather conditions. The limited harvest yielded wines of great intensity and concentration, featuring the necessary tannins and acidity conducive to extended ageing.
