Linkwood Gordon & MacPhail 1946

Currently owned by Diageo, Linkwood is a Speyside distillery founded in 1821 by Peter Brown, factor of Linkwood Estate. It is known for producing single malt whiskies that are often used as components in blends such as Johnnie Walker and White Horse. This particular Linkwood was distilled in the year after the end of World War II, which was a challenging time for the whisky industry due to rationing and other restrictions. An independent bottling from Gordon & MacPhail, which has released several expressions of vintage Linkwood over the years.
