Based in Chassagne-Montrachet, Fontaine-Gagnard is a family-run domaine with approximately 12 hectares of vineyards. The estate was formed in 1985 by Laurence Gagnard and her husband Richard Fontaine after Laurence inherited part of Domaine Gagnard-Delagrange. This release comes from a tiny 0.08-hectare plot in the highly regarded Montrachet. The domaine’s white wines are bottled after 11 months in barrel, with one-third new wood for the Grand Crus.
