Château Langoa Barton is a renowned property located in the Saint-Julien appellation, which was classified as a Third Growth in the prestigious 1855 Classification of the Médoc. Langoa Barton has been owned by the Barton family since 1821, and they are also the owners of the neighbouring Château Léoville Barton. The 2020 vintage is a blend of 53.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 8.5% Cabernet Franc, delivering notes of black cherries, crème de cassis, liquorice and pencil shavings. Available here in half-bottles.

Chateau Langoa Barton

Château Langoa-Barton is a 3ème Grand Cru Classé estate situated in Saint-Julien and is well-known for producing incredibly traditional and formidably tannic wines. The château has been in the Barton family for eight generations, a sister estate to the famous Léoville Barton.

The 20 hectares of vineyard are planted on classic gravel / clay soils and plantings are split between Cabernet Sauvignon (71%), Merlot (21%) and Cabernet Franc (8%). The wine is aged for around 18 months in 50% new oak using example the same techniques employed at Leoville Barton.
