Clos d’Ambonnay is an exceptionally rare blanc de noirs produced only in exceptional years from a single, tiny plot of 0.68ha. 2002 is only the sixth release and spent 14 years maturing in Krug’s cellars. The nose is redolent with gingerbread, candied peel and hazelnuts. The palate provides incredible intensity and structure with serious vinosity and tantalising verve.
