Kistler Stone Flat Vineyard Chardonnay 2020 presents a pale yellow hue with a subtle green tint. This expression from the renowned Kistler Vineyards, established in 1978 by winemaker Steve Kistler, reflects a unique terroir. The nose features notes of flint and freshly sliced green apples, complemented by hints of thyme and wild herbs. This Chardonnay offers a tension between vibrant fruit and a crisp acidity, creating a structured palate. The finish reveals a mineral character, emphasising the vineyard`s distinctiveness.
The 2020 Chardonnay Stone Flat Vineyard is pretty ripe in this vintage. It offers up scents of apricot, hazelnut, dried flowers, chamomile, sweet spice and orange peel. Medium in body, yet quite extroverted, the 2020 is nicely balanced.
