Joh. Jos Prüm was founded in 1911 and has been in the Prüm family for several generations. Today, it is under the leadership of Dr. Manfred Prüm and his daughter Katharina Prüm. This is a perfectly sweet Riesling made from botrytised grapes grown in the famous Sonnenuhr vineyard in Wehlen. Auslese Riesling wines have excellent ageing potential, and their flavours continue to evolve over time.

This half bottle offers a complex aroma profile, combining dried apricot, honey, and subtle minerality. On the palate, it presents a rich, luscious sweetness balanced by vibrant acidity. flavours of ripe stone fruits and citrus emerge, interlaced with hints of petrol and spice.

- Rather beery and yeasty in the nose, this is the hardest '98 to unpack here today. Very tropical in its fruit, with some of the cassis and nut oils that characterized the Graacher Kabinett and which would be less surprising in a wine from Piesporter GoldtrÃ¶pfchen. Creamy and fat in the mouth, but without the lively sense of acids and the underlying sense of slate that characterized the SpÃ¤tlese.
