Jean Leon Cabernet Sauvignon 1975 is a full-bodied red wine from the Penedes region of Catalan Spain. The late Jean Leon created his eponymous winery in Penedes to produce wine to serve at Villa Capri – the star-studded restaurant once owned by Frank Sinatra and Joe di Maggio. In 1962 Leon bought several hectares of high-quality land in Penedès on which he planted grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay. The first vintage of Jean Leon was 1969, becoming the first varietal Cabernet Sauvignon produced in Spain. This 1975 vintage is thus a true milestone bottle in the history of Spanish wine.
