Jacques Selosse Champagne is a small, family-owned estate located in the Grand Cru village of Avize in the Côte des Blancs region of Champagne. The estate was founded in 1949 by Jacques Selosse, and it is now run by his son, Anselme. The V.O. [Version Originale] cuvée is a Blanc de Blancs made entirely from Chardonnay grapes. The wine is aged for a minimum of 7 years, both in stainless steel tanks and in bottles, and dosed very lightly, with only 1.3 grams of sugar per litre. On the nose, expect aromas of granny apple, hazelnut, almond and spices such as ginger, and nutmeg. The palate is powerful, with a beautiful saline and very mineral expression.
