Founded in 1877 by Henriques Menezes Borges, the H. M. Borges company is widely considered one of the leading producers of Madeira wine. This is a wonderfully medium-dry wine produced from 100% Verdelho. Golden amber in colour, it has a complex nose of dried fruits, grilled nuts, iodine and dried honey. On the palate it is full-bodied and expressive, with delightful concentration of flavour, naturally racy acidity and a long, spicy finish.
