Hermitage, the premium cognac importer and bottler, has a history of sourcing some incredibly hard-to-find spirits, such as this astonishing bottling from the Grande Champagne region that was distilled all the way back in 1893. On the nose, you’ll find notes of mushroom with saffron and ginger, cedar and sultanas. The palate combines crystallised orange and toffee brittle, hints of fresh dough with mangosteen, lychee and a host of spices.
