Ruster Ausbruch is a particularly rare sweet wine from the town of Rust, in the Austrian region of Burgenland. It is made from a selection of dried, botrytised berries (‘trockenbeeren’) from the Welschriesling and Furmint varieties, fermented and aged in barriques. This is an exceptionally complex sweet wine that pairs particularly well with blue cheeses such as Gorgonzola picante.
