Hailing from the prestigious Paulliac appellation of Bordeaux, here is the 2009 vintage. Intense purple red, the nose offers up a heady mix of black and red berries, with floral notes. The palate is powerful and has a good balance between freshness and tannin. The finish is long and voluminous. Here is a vintage with long aging potential. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot.
- The 2009 Haut Bages Libéral feels disjointed on the nose with quite punchy graphite aromas coming through, though it needs more cohesion.
