Château Guiraud, established in 1855 as a Premier Cru Classé estate in Sauternes, is renowned for its exceptional sweet wines. The 1983 vintage marks a significant chapter in its history, being one of the first under the stewardship of Xavier Planty.
This wine presents a deep golden hue, with aromas of ripe pineapple, apricot, and orange marmalade, complemented by subtle notes of honey and caramel. On the palate, it offers a rich, full-bodied profile with balanced acidity, showcasing the harmonious blend of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The finish is long and persistent, reflecting the wine`s ageing potential.
