Domaine de la Romanée-Conti – often abbreviated to DRC – is undoubtedly the most prestigious wine producer in Burgundy. The estate is co-owned by the Villaine and Leroy families, with Alexandre Bernier in place as head winemaker following the retirement of Bernard Noblet in 2018. DRC produces only grand cru wines, such as this 2014 Grands-Echézeaux, made from a 3.53-hectare parcel. The nose is exquisite, displaying ripe black fruit, crushed blackberries and a hint of cassis liqueur. The palate is beautifully integrated, featuring great acidity, mineral elements and floral undertones.
