Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a Fifth Growth estate located within the Pauillac appellation. The property is currently owned by CA Grands Crus, a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole. This is their Grand Vin from the Millennium vintage, widely considered the best since 1990. The crop was abundant, and the quality was exceptional, producing rich, tannic and deeply coloured wines.
- Medium-deep red. Redcurrant, currant leaf, graphite and spices on the nose. Fleshy and sweet, with nicely concentrated, moderately dense cherry, licorice, cedar and mineral flavors. Very sauvignon. Finishes fresh, with a slightly medicinal quality and somewhat austere tannins.
