This French gin, made using Chardonnay grapes, takes its name, `gin du comte` from the Swedish Count Axel von Fersen, who became Marie Antoinette`s favourite after meeting the queen at a masked ball. On the nose, citrus notes mingle with white flower, cumin and aniseed notes. Rich on the palate, with zesty lemon and orange, aromatic cumin and coriander, vibrant ginger and intense fennel and liquorice. Extremely long on the finish, dominated by spices and the taste of Chardonnay grapes.
