Maison Pierre André is a Burgundy brand with a range of mostly red Pinot Noir wine with a focus on the Côtes de Beaune. Formed by the eponymous Parisian wine merchant, restauranteur and innovative winemaker, it is now part of the large group Maison François Martenot. This particular cuvée is sourced from ‘Les Cazetiers’, an 8.4-hectare Premier Cru vineyard situated within Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines produced from the 2005 vintage exhibited a tendency towards red fruit characteristics rather than black fruit, and some of the typically more reserved appellations surprised with luscious, velvety wines marked by approachable tannins and lively acidity.
