Eric Rodez Empreinte Blanche 2012

Eric Rodez Empreinte Blanche 2012 vintage Champagne from the domaine of Eric Rodez in Ambonnay. After spending some time working as a cellarmaster for Krug, Eric Rodez returned to his family winery in the early 1990s and decided to set up his own label. He currently cultivates approximately six hectares of vines in Ambonnay which are now certified biodynamic. The 2012 Empreinte Blanche is a 100% Chardonnay and was vinified entirely in small oak barrels without malolactic fermentation. The wine was disgorged with a dosage of 2g/L. The nose displays pronounced aromas of peaches, white flowers and melon. The palate is remarkably structured, with hints of oak and vanilla.
