Based in the village of Vosne-Romanée, Domaine de la Romanée Conti is the most prestigious wine estate in Burgundy. DRC – as it is frequently called – is co-owned by the Villaine and Leroy families and produces only grand cru wines. The vines are farmed biodynamically, yields are kept low by aggressive pruning, and harvesting is typically very late. This release is a magnum bottle of their 2015 Échezeaux, produced from a 4.67-hectare plot. The wine shows a serious depth, remarkably clean palate, lovely floral notes and sweet red fruit.
