Echezeaux DRC Magnum 2014

Located in the village of Vosne-Romanée, Domaine de la Romanée Conti is undoubtedly the most prestigious wine estate in Burgundy. DRC – as it is frequently called – is co-owned by the Villaine and Leroy families and produces only grand cru wines. The vines are farmed biodynamically, yields are kept low by methodical pruning, and harvesting is typically very late. This release is a magnum bottle of their 2014 Échezeaux, produced from a 4.67-hectare plot. The nose reveals captivating aromas of dried flowers, wet stones, hints of undergrowth and crushed wild strawberries. On the palate, the soft texture is complemented by a brisk acidity, with herbal-infused red berries.
